Holiday Club

During the first full week of the school summer holiday we run a holiday club for children aged 3-10.

Themes for the week have included Noah & the floating zoo, the Senses and Stories of Jesus. The club runs in the mornings, with a break half way through each session for a drink and biscuit.

Sessions usually start with a game & some singing followed by a bible story (told with puppets, props or drama) and a short discussion on it.

The children then move into groups for more discussion on the story, its relevance & importance in our lives and some related crafts & activities. Then we join together again for a prayer time & more singing.

Each day the children take a leaflet home that outlines what we have been thinking about that day, bible references, prayer thoughts & a question about the story.

On the last day we invite parents & friends of participating children & church members to a short presentation on what we have done over the week followed by a shared picnic lunch which the children have prepared during the morning.

A great time is always had by all!
