RE Inspired 

RE Inspired is the name for Churches Together in Earley and East Reading Schools Work Project. (visit RE Inspired Web Site)

Park Church has been involved in this project since its beginning, working with local primary and secondary schools; including Alfred Sutton Primary School and Redlands Primary School.

Throughout the year pupils visit different churches in their locality and get to meet Christians and find out about their faith.

These visits are co-ordinated by a youth worker at the local Baptist Church, but are organised on a completely ecumenical basis.  A number of our members have enjoyed meeting the children and their teachers, accompanying them between the  churches and, through discussion, helping them to learn what churches are all about.  

These visits give the children an opportunity to go into a church (often for the first time); to see what they can learn from what they find; to be taught Religious Studies in situ; and to talk with real Christians.  

The children are invariably enthusiastic about these visits and ask endless, wonderful, questions.
