Lay Preachers

Lay Preachers are people within the church, who are not ordained, who lead worship.   Lay Preachers are valuable members of the church who are able to support the worshipping congregation at Park United Reformed Church and across the locality.   Park URC is blessed with a number of gifted Lay Preachers, who lead worship at Park URC and in local churches including: Tilehurst URC, Hungerford URC, Stoke Row Congregational Church, Grange URC.

There are a number of different ways in which people train to become Lay Preachers within the United Reformed Church.   One option is to complete a TLS (Training for Learning and Serving) course, these are organised nationally and at local level.

If you would like to know more about becoming a lay preacher within the United Reformed Church please contact the Minister minister@parkurc.org.uk .   If you would like to know more about the United Reformed Church please visit www.urc.org.uk.
